Can TikTok Views Lead to More Followers and Sales

The early numbers for followers, music activity and sales looked encouraging, although they didn’t give us a clear answer about whether a views boost reliably improves those results. Accounts assigned a views package did slightly better across the three comparisons, and the differences were small or varied enough that we need more evidence.

That matters when your aim goes beyond the view count, whether you want people to follow your account, listen to your music or buy something you’ve made. We followed those next steps for 30 days to see what happened after the boost and what might be useful to track on your own account.

What we followed after the views boost

How followers, music and sales changed over 30 days

The views-package group had slightly better numbers, although the study didn’t give us a clear answer about a reliable benefit.

Followers

Average follower gain per creator

88.8 without the package and 97.1 in the views-package group.

Music activity

13 musicians

Orders

20 businesses
134 without the package and 137 in the views-package group.

  • Each chart has its own scale and starts at zero, so compare the two bars within each chart.
  • Follower gain subtracts unfollows, while the music figure is the median, or middle result in each group.
  • Music activity combines 10 listener records and 3 stream-count records, which measure different things.
  • These results came from the same accounts as the later-video study.

We followed the same 64 accounts as our study of later-video visibility. Similar accounts were paired together, with one assigned a single 1,000-view package on a chosen video and the other going without it.

We chose a result that suited each kind of account:

What happened over 30 days
What we measuredWithout the packageViews-package group
Average follower gain per creator88.897.1
Middle change in music activity+3.25%+14.1%
Total completed paid orders134137

The music figures use the median, or middle result when each group’s changes are lined up from smallest to largest. All three comparisons favored the views-package group, although the small numbers of accounts and the differences between them leave the answer open.

Creators gained slightly more followers on average

The 30 creators were split evenly between the two groups. After subtracting unfollows, those assigned the package gained an average of 97.1 followers over 30 days, compared with 88.8 for the other group, a difference of about 8.3 followers per account.

There was enough variation between accounts that we couldn’t separate a reliable benefit from their usual ups and downs. If you’re working on follower growth, a useful starting point is to make your profile’s topic clear and show visitors what they can expect from your next video.

The music results were encouraging

We had complete figures for 13 musicians, with seven in the views-package group and six in the other group. The middle increase in music activity was 14.1% for those assigned the package and 3.25% for those without it.

This was the most encouraging pattern of the three, although it came from a small group using different measures. Ten records counted listeners and three counted streams, which is why we call the combined result music activity and need a more consistent way to measure it before drawing a firm conclusion.

For your own release, you can make the next step easier by:

Business orders were close between the groups

The 20 businesses were also split evenly between the groups, with those assigned the package recording 137 completed paid orders and the others recording 134 over 30 days. That small difference wasn’t enough to show a reliable sales benefit.

If you’re promoting a product, it helps to think about the whole journey from watching to buying. Show what the product does, answer the questions that might hold someone back and make the route to purchase easy to follow, then track completed orders alongside views.

Where a views boost fits into your plan

Our clearest findings so far are about first impressions and views on later posts. These early follower, music and sales results give us more to explore, although they don’t yet tell us how reliably that attention leads to a bigger audience or more orders.

For your own account, start with a goal you can keep track of:

Our TikTok views packages let you add views to selected videos with a choice of delivery pace. If you post regularly, automatic TikTok views can handle ordering for future uploads, with payment per upload and changes or cancellation available in your dashboard.

The study tested a one-time package, so automatic views are a separate service option.

How much can these results tell us?

Figure 02 · Looking at the range

Why we still don’t have a clear answer

The average differences were small, and the ranges around them included both fewer and more followers or orders.

0means no difference

Both ranges cross zero, so the study didn’t show a reliable benefit for followers or orders.

  • Followers averaged about +8.3 more per creator, with an approximate 95% confidence interval of −52 to +69.
  • Orders averaged +0.3 more per business, with an approximate 95% confidence interval of −4.8 to +5.4.
  • The two lines use different units, and music isn’t shown here because its listener and stream counts need a separate explanation.

Celebian funded this work, which followed the August and September 2026 accounts for 30 days. We had results for 30 creators and 20 businesses, while one of the 14 musicians was missing a set of figures needed for the comparison.

When we compared the paired accounts again, the ranges around the results showed why the answer is still open:

The follower and order ranges include both lower and higher results, so we’d need to follow more accounts in the same way to give a clearer answer. You can explore the full collection and find out more about the studies in the Celebian TikTok research hub.
